If you weren’t already getting one thousand boxes delivered to your house before the pandemic, you most likely are now. The convenience is amazing. It usually requires one or two clicks of a button and your food, skincare, booze and clothes are at your doorstep in a day or so.
And then there are the subscriptions through various services. You do not need to click more than once and your hair care products or your food staples come on a scheduled day each month or whatever interval you have chosen. It is amazing. The Jetsons would be so proud of us.
Of course, the millennials have paved the way for these services. According to Forbes, in 2019 31% of millennials subscribed to a service while another 38% said they would be within the next 6 months.
And they are not the only ones. Forbes also reported that while only 8% of boomers subscribed to delivery boxes, another 22% were considering it within the next 6 months.
Remember, decades ago how exciting it was to receive a letter in the mail and now our mail is mostly junk. But we are all still waiting and waiting for the deliveries because we know there will be boxes upon boxes for us to open.
If there is a man on your holiday shopping list that you just cannot find the perfect present for, let us suggest signing him up for a monthly delivery. The gift that keeps on giving.
And the gift that relieves stress. For many men, shopping is the worst. And now as we are in the midst of a global pandemic standing in the hair care product aisle, looking at ingredients and other determining factors sounds like a nightmare.
Imagine the smile on his face when he learns that is one less thing he has to decide on.
